It all started in 2010, during my college days, when I stumbled upon a tiny stray kitten on my way home. The kitten was cold, hungry, and desperately in need of care. Without a second thought, I decided to bring him home. However, my excitement was met with hesitation at the door. My parents, concerned about the kitten’s health and safety, made it clear that keeping him wasn’t an option.
Determined to give the little one a chance, I spent the next three days convincing my parents. I explained how we could take him to the vet for a health check and ensure he was safe for our home. Slowly, their resistance softened, and they agreed. That kitten became our first furry family member.
The following semester, I realized that our new friend needed a companion. Once again, I found another stray and brought him home. To my surprise, my parents were not only more accepting this time but had started warming up to the idea of rescuing stray kittens. Over time, what began as a hesitant act of kindness turned into a family tradition. My parents, who were once unsure, even started adopting strays themselves.
By 2018, our small home was bustling with kittens, and we decided it was time to take things to the next level. With a larger space to accommodate them, we transitioned from simply rescuing strays to breeding the kittens we had. It was a beautiful new chapter. At one point, we had as many as 22 kittens, filling our home with life, love, and endless purring.
